On most platforms, you write an honest review and the platform keeps every rupee it earns from it. Hookoom is built the other way around.
Here is the short version of how earning works for travellers and creators, without the jargon.
Who can earn
There is no minimum follower count and no application to clear first. The qualifying action is the stay itself: book a room, post an honest ReviewReel about it, and you're in. A ReviewReel is not a polished ad, it's a short, accurate record of what the room and the stay were actually like, the kind of thing that helps the next traveller decide.
That also means the bar for a good ReviewReel is different from the bar for a good social post. Footage of an actual bathroom door that doesn't quite latch is worth more here than a perfectly lit shot of the lobby, because it's the detail another traveller would actually want to know before booking the same room.
From booking to payout
The mechanics are short. You stay somewhere, you post a ReviewReel of that stay, and Hookoom verifies the reel against an actual booking before it goes live, that's what keeps the review worth something to whoever reads it next. From there, every booking your reel drives sends 50% of Hookoom's commission on that booking straight to your account.
The payout itself happens automatically at checkout of the booking your reel drove, not on a schedule you have to track. No invoice to raise, no waiting period, no minimum balance to clear before the first payout lands.
No minimum follower count. The honesty is the qualification.
Why this works differently from a referral code
A referral code pays out once and stops mattering. A ReviewReel keeps earning as long as it keeps helping someone decide, because it's the review itself, not a one-time link, doing the work of convincing the next guest. That's also why there's no follower threshold: a reel from someone with three hundred followers can outperform one from someone with three hundred thousand, if it actually answers the question a traveller has.
